Fantastic suggestion to hold thoughts lightly, including opposing thoughts.
Decisions here now are based on past experiences and outcomes unless we keep our minds open and stay here and now. We’re not who we were an hour ago. Much less a year or 5 yrs ago.
So sorry about your loss of Loo. Gorgeous girl. It’s excruciating to lose a family animal you’ve had for that long, interwoven in every aspect of your lives. Very sorry. Run free gorgeous baby.
You live in a phenomenal area. She must have loved it.
I lost my Aussie about 2.5 yrs ago and foster rescued mill puppies now. Dogs’ egoless yearning for giving and receiving love is priceless.
Do you have any type of spiritual practice that informs your thinking?
For myself, I’ve boiled down Christianity to its simplest state: love God/Source of Consciousness, neighbors and enemies. The last is the most difficult today. Our tribal clustering interferes with widespread connecting and the ability to see oneself in one’s so-called enemy.
It’s gotten so absurd that you’d almost think people had different Sources and different soul-level essences depending on their tribe. Like alien non-humans live across the state line. I’m thinking some common soul exploration would do Earth some good.
I very much enjoy your posts. Always thought provoking.
thank-you Kathy and I appreciate your continued thoughtful notes and comments.
I'd say my spiritual practices are a hybrid blend - mainly leaning towards agnostic. There are certainly some wonderful mysteries about how life has come to be on Earth - and so many diverse beliefs. I tend to simply find joy and mystery in those many thoughts and endless paradoxes.
I do have some strong leanings toward a constant return to one's Self as one of the most critical components of each of our existences. And can certainly relate to ideas around seeing oneself in one's so-called enemy.
Or even in seeing our Self in others in general - esp. those different from ourselves.
The world is a pretty wonderful and mysterious place. There was a time pre-human and a time to come post-humans. In between those two realities is a wonderfully mysterious place and time. :)
Question of the hour is the timing of post-humanity on earth and how we all can raise the bar on caring for each other to delay post-humanity’s onset. Now’s not a good time for humans to die off imo. Quite inconvenient.
These are significant times in which we find ourselves alive. Our technology outpaces our connections so far. Technology is the perfect tool to use to accelerate connecting. Everything is a tool. Really our bodies are tools. We provide intention.
